The Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance presents the Sixth Lakeshore Region Summit on Racism. Job losses, housing price declines, cuts in school funding— these issues tug at the fabric of our community. The Ottawa area has long been a model for others. Today it is becoming a mirror—reflecting the economic, educational, and social distress of many mid-size population centers.
Join us May 20 to:
• Learn why racial segregation leads to social and economic decline
• Understand how racial inclusion benefits everyone, not just a few
• Develop the tools you need to make a positive difference in our community
Why the summit? Because in a diverse community, we must draw on the strengths of all of our people. It’s the only way to promote the social and economic well-being of the region as a whole.
