Description

Kids of ALL ages are invited to attend our first Science Day! Make your own fossils, learn about geological strata and how plants acquire certain characteristics. We'll have several hands-on activities for children to participate in, as well as a snack and games.

Please RSVP to Kris Fletcher (see below) if you will be attending so that we know how many to expect.

As we continue to have more families with children in our group we hope to continue expanding our educational programs for kids, as well as provide opportunity for the kids and parents to gather and get to know each other better. If you have ideas for future events please email Jennifer () or Kris.

Additional Details

Help us cut down on material costs by bringing a few things you can find around the house. We suggest making it a scavenger hunt with the kids!

Please bring for each child:
1 glass quart size jar with lid
2 empty yogurt containers or other small plastic containers.
fossil makers: leaves, twigs, shells, bones, toy animals, etc.
strata stuff: different colors of soil, leaves, gravel, small rocks, coffee, grains, flour, salt/sugar (or whatever small sized or powdery items you can think of). 1-5 types of whatever you have available.

Cost: Donations are appreciated to cover supply costs.
