Mark your calendars before things get any busier! Our annual Secular Service Project at Kids’ Food Basket will be Saturday December 9, 2017. Kids’ Food Basket is a nonprofit organization that attacks childhood hunger through their Sack Supper program, which now serves nearly 7,500 kids each weekday in West Michigan. Sack Suppers are well-rounded meals which provide nutrition necessary for a child’s development. Our project will be to compile the single serving portions which will later be assembled into the suppers. We need 20 volunteers willing to work in a friendly, fun atmosphere. Our two-hour stint, 10 a.m. to Noon, usually flies by in no time. Kids 5 and older are welcome (though must be accompanied by an adult up to 15). We will assemble at 10 a.m. sharp and begin after a brief orientation.

Kids’ Food basket is located at 2055 Oak Industrial Dr. NE #C Grand Rapids, 49505.

Please RSVP to Dennis at if you plan to come, so KFB will be able to judge the amount of food to have on hand.

Kids Food Basket of Grand Rapids meets the needs of area children that would otherwise go without evening meals. Kids’ Food Basket's goal is to meet the nutritional needs of these children in order for them to receive the proper brain development they need to thrive in school and life . Kids' Food Basket serves about 6,000 a day during the school year.
