Presented by Michael D. Willis, Member, Center for Inquiry-Michigan
Michael D. Willis joins us to share the story of his journey from Minister to Miscreant.
Michael says: I am a human, like many, struggling through the realities of the past. Trying to forget, trying to heal and to escape. My life was filled with a dream, one I’m not sure was my own. I accepted the call to “seek and save the lost,” but what does it mean to save the lost, when nothing has been found. Who am I now? What have I become? Just another miscreant, lost in a curious world, searching for what may be found.
About the Speaker
Michael D. Willis has a degree in Youth Ministry from Spring Arbor University (which is less useful than a degree from Kendall College). He was on church Youth Leadership Teams through Middle and High School, worked as a youth pastor while attending college and was in Ministry for about 5 years, post undergrad; serving 2 different churches and eventually partnering with a church planting organization in New York city. Now he fixes security systems, since effectively fostering an environment of paranoia would be a terrible talent to waste.
Meetings are open to the Public
After the meeting, join us at Vitale's Sports Bar, 834 Leonard NE, Grand Rapids, MI to socialize. View Map
