Join us for "Why Theism is Probably False" with Justin Schieber.
When it comes to discussions and debates with our theistic peers, the best defense is a good offense. There exist some extremely powerful arguments against Theism and we should familiarize ourselves with their details rather than be satisfied with merely holding the defensive line. The argument from Nonresistant Unbelief and the Evidential Argument from Suffering are currently two of the most significant direct challenges to theistic belief. These arguments will be unpacked in their strongest forms and objections will be anticipated. A number of general philosophical strategies that have been employed by theists to avoid these arguments will be explored and new, powerful counter-strategies will be encouraged.
