The Problem of Non-God Objects (Grand Rapids)

Presented by Justin Schieber, Co-Host, "Reasonable Doubts" podcast co-host
Description
In this week's presentation, Justin Schieber will present - and defend from possible objections - an argument against a Christian view of the divine that insists upon God's perfection while maintaining that God alone is responsible for intentionally creating non-god objects.
The Christian scriptures seem clear; John 1:3 says 'All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being.' They are equally clear about this God's ontological and moral perfection. But, are these beliefs compatible with the existence of non-God objects?
About the Speaker
Justin Schieber was born and raised in a religious household. After having embraced the Christian message seriously for the first time in his life, he was baptized at 14 and then endured a difficult 2 year 'Crisis of Faith' regarding some of the fundamental claims of the Bible.
Now, Justin enjoys promoting critical thought and a friendly, yet firm skepticism towards religious claims. Within the past few years, Justin has taken part in a debate series facing off with a handful of local Christians on topics such as the "Existence of God," "The Source of Morality" and the "Resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Currently Justin enjoys co-hosting a local podcast that can be found on Itunes: "Reasonable Doubts"
