Hey all! We had a fabulous lunch at Amanda’s place last Saturday. The fare consisted of Butternut Squash Bisque prepared by Jen, Sarah, and Joanie. It was super good and the recipe can be found here. Sarah made a wonderful apple sauce that was still warm. The perfect complement to the soup. And I made my world famous (well, not really) honey and molasses whole wheat bread which I baked there right before we ate. Very nice meal. Of course, we did have an appetizer to whet the palate. Joanie made queso dip that was just right to get our appetites going.
Next month we will be doing some sort of holiday craft and baking cookies at Amanda and Jen’s house which will later be decorated at my house by the youth group. Hmm. I just now was informed of this event by my loverly husband. Hmph.
If you have ideas for the craft, please post them here. We haven’t come up with anything yet. I was thinking a solstice themed craft would be nice. The shaped cookies could also have a solstice theme, so if you have cookie cutters that would be appropriate please bring them.
Looking forward to seeing you all next month!
