Well, I for one had a great time at the last women’s group meeting. In attendance were 2 Sarahs, Amanda, Jen, and me. Joanie was kind enough to bring cookie baking supplies including really yummy dough she made, but she herself was unable to stay. We missed you Joanie!

The crafts were a ball made from 4 circles on cardstock, which were glued together where the outlying edges of an equilateral triangle on each ball met. How’s that for a description. The balls were then given lots of bling with glue and glitter. They turned out really pretty and you can see some of them next time you visit Jen and Amanda’s place. We also made some cut cardstock star thingies which was a craft revisited from a couple of years ago. It took a few mangled pieces of paper before we remembered how the cuts were to be made, but the end result was really pretty. A couple of these are also spinning and floating hither and yon around the commune.

The cookies we made were a big hit later that night at the youth group meeting. 14 kids showed up to decorate them and eat them and generally have fun. It was a great day overall.

Hope to see lots of you next month!

Thanks Kathy for the nice words. I missed you guys too but I’m glad the kids enjoyed the cookies.
For all of the ladies that have not checked out the women’s group yet or didn’t know about it’s existence, please look for the exciting 2008 activities Jennifer is planning in her spare time (NOT) and plan on joining us. We have a lot of fun relaxing and enjoying each others company and all ladies are welcome!
