About the Speaker
Jennifer Bixby is a former active duty Navy Chaplain with tours in Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory, and at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona. Traveling the world and meeting a wide range of people from many faiths, Jennifer came to the conclusion that belief in the supernatural is irrational.
She now works as an environmental engineer for the State of Michigan's Air Quality Program. She is the Events Coordinator and a Program Advisor for Mid Michigan Atheists and Humanists. Her personal interests include training for an Iron Man triathlon, making jewelry and, of course, reading science literature.
